My name is Jacob, and I'm a 34 year old man living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I'm a passionate advocate for the human experience, and the motions of maturation. I was raised in a mixed culture houshold where all family members were on their own growth path, and these trials helped me to see diversity on a deep level. I'm forward in empathy, and don't believe in condemnation for any people. As a person, I'm an active lifestyle athlete with a current lean for strength training and basketball. Sports and competition in general have been with me my entire life. 

Populations I've worked with include adolscents and teens at crossroads, disabled people, and also people convicted of sexual offenses against minors. I've worked in social work for about 7 years after leaving the music industry to pursue something that I felt would teach me more of what I was looking to learn. 

As a person explaining themselves, I think it's more important to explain that I see myself and all people as developing characters. I've experienced deep and meaningful changes in perspective and behavioral pattern, and so I don't believe in pinning myself to any singular explanation. At my core, I'm someone interested in learning about others, and especially in helping people respect the work-in-progress nature of the life cycle.

I have intimate experience with self harm, domestic violence, neurodivergence, relationship issues, sexual trauma, childhood sexual trauma, substance abuse disorder (and recovery), and have spent time in behavioral/psychiatric facilities.
