...See more Hey all I’m new here but I’ve been looking for help because of where I’m at in life. I had a really hard year, my grandma passed in the summer and my mom was diagnosed with cancer a few months later. Following her diagnosis, she decided to move in with her girlfriend, which was her best support system. But with that, as I was living with my mom at the time, I had to move out as soon as possible. I rekindled a friendship with someone from high school and we were moved into our own apartment within the next month. I guess where I’m looking for coping advice comes to this; I’ve never lived on my own before, I’ve never lived with a friend before, and I haven’t had time to process a lot of these things that have happened. My roommate and I were getting in huge fights so bad I was looking to find a lawyer to break the lease, I still have a lot of trouble taking care of myself as well as the apartment. I can go almost a week or more without showering, I can’t find the energy or time between work to clean up after myself. When my roommate asks me to do a chore it can take me again, about a week or more until I find the motivation to get these simple things done. I don’t want to live like this anymore. I just need a reason to make the effort. I need help on how to be an adult and do these things that everyone is expected to do. I don’t know if this is the perfect group to vent this to, but if anyone could help in anyway I would appreciate it. Anyone is allowed to DM me if not just replying to this. Thank you for reading ❤️
