...See more Willingly or not, being in the same house with a mentally ill family member, you can either save them or eventually drown along with them. I've tried to do the first one so bad until it broke me that it's not working, and I ended up falling into the latter. This thread isn't supposed to put you down, it's just a reminder to not make my mistake and it's time you realize that you cannot save someone who doesn't want to be saved no matter how hard you try, you'll always end up in the same pit.

However, a valuable lesson I've learned is that if you wish to maintain a connection with someone, it's crucial not to place them in a situation where they might cause you harm. This understanding comes with experience, trial, and error, enabling me to discern the limits and characteristics of each friend, which can influence their behavior in specific circumstances. This way you will keep both your inner peace and your relationships.
