My method to concentrate on studying

...See more When I was taking my finals in the previous semester, I found it extremely difficult to focus on my studying since I was alone in my room, with my bed right behind me and my phone literally in my hand. I spent a whole week unable to actually get anything done! However, I still managed to get through and here is my method: 1. Start with a to-do list: Write down all the subjects you have to study for along with the deadlines 2. Do the tasks in order of time, if there are two or several tasks that are due in the same day then you need to complete the ones that are most challenging/ time-consuming first. 3. Set your phone on the Focus mode. In this mode, you are only allowed to use several functions that you chose. This can help calm down the anxiety for those who rely heavily on their phones like me. 4. Play some white noise. Personally, I used the app "Forest: Stay focused" where I chose to study for 30 minutes each set, and the app comes with a few tracks of white noise to help with concentration. I've found the sound of the rain to be very helpful in helping me stay focused.
