Artist and teaching assistant for special needs classrooms. Loves music, video games and nerdy stuff. Trying to overcome a lot of nonsensical fears/anxieties and a general sense of meaninglessness. Can’t affoed therapy, so here I am. :P

...See more Hey all, Im new and not really sure what Im doing but I hope I can get some help on this. A couple years back I had a really traumatic experience at a job Id been in for about 18 months, at a location Id been at for about 7 months. I dont feel comfortable going into too much detail, but I was essentially forced to choose between leaving, and sacrificing my financial well-being, or staying, and sacrificing my mental/emotional well-being. I chose the latter, and Ive been stuck in part-time work ever since, not able to fully support myself. Things have gotten somewhat better for me emotionally, and lately Ive had a few promising job opportunities come up, but the thought of taking any of them absolutely terrifies me. I dont know how to get over this fear of putting myself out there and risking going through that same awful working experience again... Can anyone relate? Or am I just being a lazy piece of garbage...? Any advice would be appreciated.
