...See more It’s world mental health day but I don’t feel it These thoughts in my head are swirling around and you say-- to just breathe through it I understand that it’s important to raise this awareness, but if awareness is just reposts, reblogs, and likes--what happens to the people like me that continue to fight? depression, anxiety, suicide hell they made a song about it... but how do we actually save lives? When I’m catching my breathe in the starbucks bathroom trying desperately to hold myself together where are the likes on that post? When I have to leave school because I try to ask for help, I’m not congratulated on being another year late to graduation. If we’re all about awareness on special days like today when do we start the actions or do these hashtags just fade away? You see everyday is mental health day for me. I live in it, I breathe through it, I cry with it but I don’t get a day off. I don’t get a day off to reblog posts about another persons issue, or make myself feel better by posting a hotline. Mental health is so much more than this day. It’s about talking to your friends, asking them if their okay. It’s about listening to the voices that are begging to be heard and the people you don’t understand. The addict who’s roaming the streets alone, the great uncle who lives in a home, the cousin who takes meds but doesn’t tell you why--these are the people trying desperately to survive. I know today might be just one day for you and I get that the reblogs are the only thing you know to do but listen to me clear, I’m trying be a voice for those who can’t hear. World Mental Health Day is more than just a hashtag, we need to do better. We need to take action, we need to listen and speak up and actually make traction. We can do better than just one day, we can do better than letting this fade away. It’s world mental health day everyday for me, now come on and listen and start understanding its everyday for you too.

...See more When you suffer from mental health issues no one can actually see how much your suffering and can actually be invisible. People try so hard to understand it but it's so complicated. Some of the simplest tasks can be extremely difficult for someone with mental health problems such as just getting out of bed in the morning. For someone without mental health issues this is a simple task but when you suffer from mental health you don't want to get out of bed and eventually you have to force yourself to get out of bed, just get on with your day and pretend that everything's okay with that fake smile on your face when in fact your dying inside. We all wish that our mental health would go on vacation and just let us live a normal life just for a little while but no, mental health is there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If your struggling with your mental health talk to someone you trust. You never know how much of an impact this can have on you💜 Don't suffer in silence, silence is one of the biggest killers😓

...See more If you were suicidal or have really bad mental health at all this year, or any year in the past, and are alive right now for Christmas and new years then I just wanna say I am so freaking proud of you. Me and so many other people too. You are amazing, strong, and definitely made the right choice. Please make the right choice next year, and in all the years to come as well. Merry Christmas x
