Does anyone else visualize hurting themselves when they're frustated?

...See more It's not even gory or anything, I just imagine doing it. Ok wait just typing this out helped. I use SH to avoid thinking about other things, so clearly I'm avoiding thinking about something and using the visualization as a place holder for the action. Well still curious to hear if anyone else does this.

Told my BF about some SH

...See more I showed my BF some SH scratches a few weeks ago. We've been together a year, I've been clean that whole year (until this relapse). I'd kept them hidden for about 3 days until we had sex and I couldn't hide them anymore. He kissed them and put band-aids on them. He was very sweet and caring. But also. We had been arguing a little earlier that evening about me showing up really late. I knew he was mad at me for that. After he put the band-aids on, he said something like "why did you tell me about this now?" It felt like he was insinuating I did to get him to stop being mad at me or something, but that isn't why. I hadn't wanted to get in the shower with him like we normally do and I could tell he was confused and worried, and I didn't want to stress him out and so I showed him to explain. But it really hurt my feelings that he would suggest I would use that as a way to manipulate him. I know people do that, but I wasn't. I would never do that. I refuse to hurt myself in response to being upset by other people, so they won't be afraid to bring things up to me.  I think I just need to bring it up again and tell him it hurt my feelings. I don't even think he meant it that way, but that's how it felt. Does anyone have thoughts?
