**PLEASE READ** I am currently taking a break so I will be unable to respond to chat requests or messages. As of now, I'm unsure when I will return.
Please refer to http://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/ to chat with one of the many wonderful listeners here. Take care!
Hi there! I'm glad you've found me on 7 Cups of Tea! My name is Claire and I'm a trained active listener. I'm 24 years old and I like to support people struggling with generalized anxiety, OCD, social anxiety, depression, loneliness, dependency and DPD, chronic pain, self-harm, and a variety of other issues. I am LGBTQ+ and kink friendly and happy to talk about these topics with you. That said, any chats that are sexually inappropriate in nature (i.e. akin to sexting, flirting, etc.) will be ended.
I do not have expertise in such areas as breakups, relationships, alcohol/drug abuse, and traumatic experiences, so another listener may be more helpful if you are struggling with one of these issues. That said, I am still always happy to listen.
I personally struggle with some of the above mentioned topics, and I know how reassuring it can feel just to have someone to listen. I am happy to lend an ear for you to vent, will try my best to offer reassurance and comfort, and, if you'd prefer, we can also just chat, because sometimes distraction is the best coping mechanism at the time. Having been helped and continuing to be helped by many wonderful individuals on 7 Cups, as well as individuals not related to this site, I want to give back and help you as best I can. I pride myself on seeing situations from varying points of view and on being open minded. I hope that I can be a trustworthy and comforting presence for you.
The way I do chats is like this: Please click on the below "Book me" link to schedule a time to chat with me. I do chats in 1 hour blocks, and you can schedule as many chats as you like (just please only one chat per day). Please feel free to PM me in between appointments, though I will not necessarily be able to get back to you until our next appointment. Also, just to clarify - Hablo español también, pero no soy fluido. Sin embargo, estoy feliz de probar charlar en español si deseas.
I am part of the following groups on 7 Cups:
Verified Listener Team -if you need someone to conduct a mock chat with you in order to receive the Verified Listener badge, please feel free to PM me!
Peer support - If you've had a difficult chat and need to talk about it afterwards, don't hesitate to PM me; I am happy to discuss it with you.
Feed Team (general and Anxiety Feed Team) - but currently on hiatus
* I am also a Group Moderator! *
~ My listener twins are: @WhimiscalDancer, @Baubs, @JaelynR, and @amazingFaith15 ! ~

She is awesome. I love her, she really helped me through a tough time.
She's very nice. I really enjoyed talking to her. I felt better after expressing it.
Very caring and helpful.
Just as in the first chat, Claire was excellent.
Claire was a great listener and very compassionate. Sometimes you just need someone to talk to and she certainly made it easy. in the future I plan on contacting her as opposed to just anyone else who is available at that time.
very kind and compassionate listener good person!
I think Claire91's support was really really good for me because we've experienced many things that are the same an have felt similar feelings and thoughts so I felt like I could really relate to her and what she had to say. And she helped me feel more confident that I could get through the rest of the day and get up tomorrow and face the next day. Very appreciated. :)
Highly recommended, very helpful and patient with me! Gave me so much advice regarding my issue.
