Bio
I'm a 47-year-old happily married father of three young children, born and raised in Australia, currently living in Bulgaria with my French wife (and the children). I am a music teacher and have been teaching music in schools and one-on-one for around 20 years. However, I've always had an intense curiosity about psychology and would like to one day work as a clinical psychologist. To this end, I have recently begun studying psychology online through Monash University in Australia. It will take me at least five years from now to fully qualify as a psychologist.
In the past I have done telephone crisis counselling with Lifeline in Brisbane, Australia. I found the experience to be very enriching, deepening of my daily life, and particularly satisfying when I thought I had managed to help someone. I would like to get right back into counselling in order to hone my interpersonal and listening skills in preparation for being a psychologist in the future, and I hope to help as many people as I can along the way.
