Licensed Professional Counselor

About

I am so glad you are here.  It takes bravery to ask for help, and you can be so proud of yourself for taking this step.  I provide trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing a variety of challenges, and I have speicalized training and experience working with individuals and families who have experienced complex trauma.  As your therapist, I want to help you develop skills that will allow you to feel empowered and in control of your life.  We will work closely together to explore challenging thoughts, memories, or feelings and to help you develop coping skills so that you can feel confident moving into a new chapter of your life.

I am also a trained yoga instructor and I enjoy using interactive techniques, such as sand tray, art, mindfulness, and breath work during sessions.  Traumatic events impact our minds and our bodies; I believe that it is important to utilize a mind-body approach in treatment.
