...See more To those who just joined and to those who recently joined and haven't looked around the forums and such, welcome. It may be overwhelming to open up, but you're never pressured to say more than you want to say. Go at your own pace, focus on finding people you can connect with, and take things one step at a time. It will be okay, even if it feels like it isn't. You will be okay, even if it feels like you're not right now. All will be well. All is already well. Be safe and be cool, friend.

Relationship Stress / by DarkStarLight745

...See more I'm not too sure how to start this but I'm gonna try... I feel as though there are moments where I overthink on things I wish I had or hadn't done, when it comes to friendships, familial relationships and general relationships. And while I don't want to go into personal details, to be respectful of the rules, I tend to really ruminate on my actions and inactions a lot. There are times where I wish I had done the simplest things in the moment, or times where I wish I hadn't done things. Although it may be seen as silly to be thinking about things long after they pass, I could spend days or even weeks in my thoughts before something else that happens takes precedence over those thoughts and takes over from there, or even makes me think back to other times, well after getting advice and figuring out ways to move forward, if that makes sense. It feels like...a vicious cycle. My main line of inquiry is, does anyone have any tips on combating ruminating/intrusive thoughts, specifically thoughts about things you could've done, mistakes, what could or couldn't have been, possibilities, or on things you hadn't done? And I hope that if anyone sees this thread, that they see that they aren't alone when it comes to stuff like this, and that they can move forward too, even when life yanks you backwards. Be safe, be cool.
