Heavy after work anxiety anyone?

...See more Im sure it is pretty common to have, but in ways that gives me assurance that someone can maybe help provide some insight on how to best manage my after work anxiety. I enjoy love where I work but I don't enjoy my job description. I am a asst manager and run a staff of up to 12 guys at most but usually around 6 or 7. I have a few supervisors below me as well that do want go further in the company. I really do enjoy teaching people new things and it also helps build a relationship with that particular employee. I recently got transfered to a new location the company had received and this location happen to be significantly slower in terms of volume/sales and so my personal customer interaction dramatically dropped. Before I moved I was always running around my old site helping customers to co workers, even as non-management. I absolutely loved it. I felt a sense of accomplishment when I would go home. After my promotion and transfer, my new location is brand new. So no considerable maintance is really ever needed unless it;s preventative maintenance (greasing, checking lines, etc.). Because of that I do not have to much to do there and all of my staff is fully trained at this point. Before I was transfered, I had been an asst manager prior with the same company. But at that time I was just the Manager, asst manager, and employees. I had NO supervisors to do things for me resulting in me becoming very resourceful with my environment when things go awry and take care of every normal problem myself. I had no issue with it as I learned in the past never to rely on anyone. I can't trust anyone wholeheartedly that I work with. I do not find them incapable of the job nor negligent. I get bad anxiety when I am not aware of what all is going on. I learned how to just do things myself without relying on people to come and help me. "I was there at the moment, they were not" kind of thing. I am not going to wait. I will just do it. When I first started working at this new location I did everything myself (which wasn't much compared to what I was used to at our busiest location) and had no issues being the only one. My supervisors then started to look lazy and eventually my area manager had to pretty much tell me that I need to learn to have them do things. They are here to help me. I am still not 100% used to it as I have gone 3 months so far. But everyday that I am not the last one leaving the building, I get bad anxiety when I can't see what is actively going on at my location. I really try my best to treat each employee equally but also as individual beings, not "employees". I know I can't keep it a happy medium but if I am at work then I know I can fix the problem right then and there, whatever it maybe. But if I am at home before closing time then my anxiety skyrockets. I rethink almost every little detail I can for that day and think about what I feel i did poorly and what I could have done instead. If I have a bad customer interaction (even though I am completely in the right) I still feel as if I was the one that was wrong and should have said something different. So that kicks my anxiety in. I also think about my employees in a sense of "if i made this decision instead would it have turned out better or would this have happened?" I tend put myself in alot of "what if" situations when I know i shoulnd't and that also drives my anxiety up. I am one to beat myself up if I make a mistake, even if it is small and my bosses tell me I am doing fine. I am not one to "baby" my employees either. If they want to move up, I will help them and teach them. I tell them I expect mistakes and as long as you learn from them then you will do great. I fire for stupidity, not mistakes. So when I put them in a postition to deal with an upset customer or have to deal with slightly higher physical demands, part of me feels bad and wants to step in to help and do it for them, but the other part of me understands that I will not always be around and eventually they will have to make tough decisions for themselves. I want to teach them to hold themselves to higher standards than regular employees. Sometimes I just sleep all night just to curb the anxiety but usually I play video games as they are my hobby and passion. It tends to help with the stress and anxiety and envelopes my mind in a whole other world forgetting about petty worries. I really do not know how else to manage this as it only occurs after work and on my days off. Maybe I am too hard on myself? Too insensitive? Too sensative? Sometimes I don't know if I am making the right choice or not and my axiety also kicks in. In moments like this I literally just pray I am making the right choice and move on with my anxiety. Yes I ask people for help but I try not to. I have the perception that if I can't make these choices on my own and have to have my area managers help, then the company will find someone that can. side note: The company i work for is amazing and is always willing to help people in situations regardless. They fire for stupidy, not mistakes. As long as you have the best intentions and are doing your best. They will never come down on you and instead focus on what to do to make you a better employee. Hence where I got my motto. I don't know at this point if it is a legitimate anxiety or if I just seem to be losing it. But I can't stand it anymore. I am mentally tired and always stressed out because of it.
