Hi! My name is Lena and I'm glad you've found me here on 7 cups. I'm a trained active listener and I'm happy to support anyone dealing with any sort of problems. I have experience with depression, eating disorders, and LGBT issues, but I do not exclusively listen to those issues--that's just what I know most about. ...See more For years now I've been struggling with depression and anorexia. Earlier this year I went through a bad spell and while scrolling through tags on tumblr, I saw a post that mentioned this website. I initially passed it off as something that would be dumb to use, but after hitting rock bottom I decided I had nothing else to lose. I ended up coming on here a few times and found a lot of great people before deciding to become a listener myself. It is very similar to what I do at a crisis hotline that I've been working at for a year now. Both of these jobs are extremely fulfilling and have helped me recover from my own mental illnesses. I've always been told that the best way to help yourself is by helping someone else, and I've found that to be especially true for me.
