Hello! I am Elizabeth Briella and I'm a psychology student! I'm going to be studying criminal justice as well to hopefully become a juvenile correctional counselor for teens who have made poor decisions and just need guidance in correctional centers(juvenile prisons).
I have been in and out of counseling for basically my whole upbringing. Over the last 12 years, I've had at least a dozen different counselors. I had a pretty traumatic thing happen to me as a child so my family was adamant about giving me the help I needed to hopefully not let it take over my life. I also unfortunately had a cousin who actually committed suicide a few years back. After that, I just knew I wanted to help people. I felt that if I had been there for him more, he might still be here.
I feel that with the knowledge I have from, not only studying psychology, and being in psychology classes, but also knowledge from my past experiences and from situations I've been in, I could be a productive and fairly decent counselor!
