Bio

I was diagnosed in 2014 with major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, & panic disorder. Thankfully, I have almost completely recovered from panic disorder, however, I have very recently been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder ("quiet"), which has been difficult for me to manage in addition to the others. Although mainly directed at each other because of marital issues, my parents are emotionally abusive to a degree, but I am not in any danger.

I have been on the same medication since shortly after I was diagnosed, and overall, I am satisfied with it, although I think I may be building a tolerance to it. Because of my schedule and the limited amount of therapists in my area, I am not able to speak with someone regularly, and I feel like making progress is much harder on my own. I am very grateful for the existence of a community like 7Cups so I can still receive support.

Over the past few months, my moods have been a bit too uncontrollable for my comfort. Almost every day, my mood begins out very bad in the morning, begins to get better around early afternoon, and falls again at night. In the worst of a "bad" mood, I fell very detached and hopeless, and as it fades, I feel extremely exhausted, empty, and numb. In "good" moods, I usually feel energetic, productive, and hopeful, but almost disbelieving of how bad my worse moods can get. School, in particular, is very stressful, frustrating, time-consuming, and draining.

But now, about what I enjoy, not just my illness. I am kind of openly demi-pansexual/romantic. I am interested in studying psychology and neuroscience when I attend college, however, I understand I need to be able to manage my own problems first. I am involved with my school's marching band through colorguard & winterguard. I began doing calligraphy last November, and I'm proud of my progress so far. I love horses very much, and although I've never had one of my own, I rode for years before my anxiety got very bad. I used to play the violin for a while and I'd like to start again when I get the chance. I am learning Japanese, and I love anime and manga, as well as reading young adult books. And as my username implies, BTS is a great inspiration to me.
