Erin Bogdanski, MFTI

Marriage & Family Therapist Intern

About

Many of the psychological issues that we have affect our general health. It is important to understand that there is a mind/body connection when struggling with problems in our relationships, stress, grief and loss. Having a the space to talk about the issues in your life, including a place for your family to connect and or to find a group that may help you process through difficult times in your life can be found through therapy.

I provide a unique style of counseling which focuses on health psychology. I can help you find a path to working with your health behavior changes , to assist in reducing your stress or anxiety, and helping you find relief in the mind/body connection.

Letting go is the first step, embracing change follows....

I'm a psychotherapist with an emphasis in health psychology. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BA in Political Science, with an focus in law and peace studies. After working for several years in both corporate and non profits , I then obtained my Masters of Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University in 2015. I studied health psychology where I focused my counseling skills with those who are suffering from stress, a recent change in general health, grief and loss , and love and relationships. I have worked in community based mental health clinics, and hospital settings. I focused my research and counseling skills specifically with our veterans community who are suffering from post war issues and also the complexities of integrating back to civilian life. I work with new and innovative ways to treat PTSD using humor, expressive arts , and mind/body work such as yoga. I'm a volunteer for the Soldiers Project which is a non profit that helps support post 911 vets and their families.

Another part of my practice is Mindfulness. I believe that Mindfulness is a way to help reduce anxiety, depression, sleeping problems, eating disorders, and substance abuse disorders. Mindfulness can be practiced alone or in a group. I believe it is nourishment to the soul, and can help with coping with a recent health change such as a diagnosis of cancer, diabetes or chronic pain.

I take a holistic approach to therapy , and outsource to body work healers as well as functional medicine to help with your journey through therapy. Welcome to my practice.

Great feedback. Would like faster response time.

It's just the first session but I feel Erin is professional, has already understood my issues from the little I wrote at the beginning, and her response time is really fast! It convinced me to continue the subscription with seven cups!<br />
