About Me

Hi! My name is Ethan, I am 19 years old and I am an Adult-Teen Listener from the UK. I was previously a university student but after one year of studying during the pandemic, I ended up dropping out of university and now work in customer care. In my free time, I volunteer on 7Cups to support people and the overall quality of the site, as well as offering my time as a youth campaigner fighting for better support for people around the world living with HIV/AIDS. I am also passionate about achieving better support for people struggling with their mental health.


I have been struggling with my mental health for several years now but over the past year or so I have been working towards getting professional support and overall improving my mental health. Being able to support people in similar situations to me is extremely fulfilling and is something I am very passionate about. 

My 7Cups Journey

I started Listening on 7Cups in March 2018, but between June 2020 and May 2021, I was inactive as the pandemic had taken a big hit on my mental health. During my time here I have worked in various community and leadership roles ranging from working as a Forum Supporter and Forum Teen Star in the Teen Only Zone, to joining the Forum Leadership team as a Project Agent, completing the 7Cups Internship, and becoming an Intern Mentor, working as a Quality Mentor and Listener Coach, and supporting Listeners' as a Peer Supporter and Listener Verifier. My experience on the site is extensive and I have learned a lot from my volunteering here.

My online time changes on a weekly basis due to my full-time job and other offline commitments. If you reach out to me during any of my available hours (listed below), I will be sure to respond to you within 48 hours.
