...See more A Poem of Mistkes Mistakes are funny, they slip throuhg cracks, Like forgetting your lunch or not paying tax. They come uninvited, like rain on a sunny day, Turning bright plans into muddled gray. I tried to write this poem, all neat and tight, But look, I messed up in plain sight. “Throuhg”? Oh no, what did I do? Spellchecker failed me, or maybe I it too. Sometimes I trip on the words I mean, Or confuse “their,” “there,” and “they’re” inbetween. Like spelling “potato” with an extra “e,” Or thinking the Earth is flat, what a spree! But aren’t mistakes the spice of life? The crooked roads that make us rife, With laughs and lessons and moments unplanned, They shape us like waves shape the sand. So here’s my ode to the blunders we make, The typos, the stumbles, the poorly baked cake. For in our flaws, there’s a beauty that’s true, Each mistake is a thread in the fabric of “you.” -Author.. me!
