...See more I am looking for a long-term Listener who I can message at completely irregular times and who I can share just about anything with, from long-time packed-in rants to "hey I like this song," from this is what I did with a few minutes of my day to this is why I don't talk to a lot of people. Some days I might brighten your day with a screenshot of a meme I like, others I might fill the chat space with long messages and several notifications. (Though I much prefer to spread happy, and may take a bit to get used to talking about bad stuff.) I don't mind not getting replies immediately, and if you work too and can't look at messages for hours (or even days sometimes) I don't mind at all and totally understand. I just want someone to stick around for a while at least. (This is a restart after my last Listener disappeared a while ago.) Topics may include: work stress, family stress, anxiety, social anxiety, racial and cultural discrimination, general mental health and sometimes exercise motivation, as well as Judaism, people that hurt my family, past and present trauma and life struggles, Five Nights at Freddy's, music, posts/memes, and maybe medical stuff (I can accidentally be much more enthusiastic about medical stuff that makes most people uncomfortable than I mean to, so we can just stay off that topic if you want). Please ask me whatever questions you have. Thank you for reading; hopefully this works as a good way for Listeners to match with Members well!

...See more (Please excuse the introverted home-schooled kid. And the lack of paragraph breaks from the mobile app.) I am sure that the answer to this question differs for different people, so please each of you answer your own way! I am interested in comparing multiple answers, whether they be similar or very different. What do you consider to be the different "levels" of friendly relationships, and what criteria relate to which level(s)? I don't have proper titles for everything, but mine (currently) starts with how we meet: for example, classmate, coworker, online associate, etc. Through a short amount of time interacting with each other, this usually progresses to "friendly associate." And then, as we interact for periods of time over a while (weeks/months/over a year), they sort of progress to "someone who I would probably want to buy a treat for sometime or help out a bit if they are in a rough spot, but I won't talk a lot about myself yet," but I have not yet had a relationship advance any further. (I am very slow to trust.) How have your relationships advanced? Were you actively trying to make more meaningful relationships, or do they just take a while?

...See more Hello, please call me Straw. I am cis female (she/her/hers). I am looking for a long-term listener. I am looking for someone with whom I can share almost anything. Sometimes I just share what music I have been listening to recently, memes or other internet stuff that I like, or just interesting stuff about my day. Other times I might share when my bad memories are bothering me (and what specifically they are), my family's frustrations with the "justice" system, and other struggles. I might also like to talk about how my work day was sometimes, though I work in the medical field, so it's totally fine if you would rather I not talk about medical stuff. I am Jewish, and much of my life and it's goals revolve around this, so this will also come up. I don't expect you to know much about Judaism, just being ok with me talking about it. I can't have a set schedule for chatting due to a very unpredictable work schedule, so I might be sending stuff very irregularly. I also usually get up at 4am CST. It would be best if my listener was one who wouldn't mind occasional random spamming of notifications, especially at odd hours. Sometimes I might not send something for a few days, and other times I might not stop talking on and off for a while. I take a while to consider someplace/someone "safe to talk to", so I might take a bit of time to open up. I have tried both a journal and a Listener, and while I find it easier to open up in a journal, I did enjoy talking with someone for a change. I guess the "feeling heard (and sometimes understood)" felt nice. Thank you for reading this, and please ask me any questions that you have! I will answer them as soon as I can. Have a great day :)
