Thread Title: My Journey with 7 Cups Academy: From Awareness to Empowerment
7 Cups Academy / by HealingWithAmreen
Last post

...See more Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my experience with the 7 Cups Academy and how much it’s helped me grow—not just emotionally, but mentally and spiritually as well. 1. Awareness is everything. Learning to recognize my triggers, slips, and emotional patterns gave me a map of my inner world. I’m no longer walking blind—I understand myself better. 2. Slips aren’t failures. Through the lessons, I’ve learned to separate a slip from a fall. One moment of weakness doesn't erase my progress. It’s just a nudge to reset and recommit. 3. Urge surfing changed the game. Instead of fighting urges, I observe them now. Like waves, they rise and fall. I don’t have to act on every thought—I can breathe through it. 4. The “PIG” helped me laugh and learn. Identifying the Problem of Immediate Gratification as a pig helped me externalize cravings. Now, when that greedy voice grunts “Feed me now!”—I talk back with compassion and strength. 5. Saying “no” is a skill. Practicing assertiveness and role-playing scenarios helped me build confidence in setting boundaries—both with others and myself. 6. My support system matters. Whether it's a change team, a friend, or even this community—I learned that I don’t have to do it alone. Connection is healing. 7. I’m not perfect, but I’m progressing. Thanks to 7 Cups, I’ve built a toolkit that helps me stay grounded, manage urges, and bounce back with resilience. And I’m proud of every step, no matter how small. If you’re just starting this journey, stay patient. The wins add up, and the self-awareness you gain is life-changing. Feel free to share your experience, favorite technique, or what helped you the most below. Let’s grow together. Warmly, HealingWithAmreen

...See more Hi everyone, I'm one of the listeners here, and I just wanted to open up a gentle space for anyone who wants to share. Coping with eating-related struggles can feel isolating, but sometimes even small grounding techniques can make a difference. What’s something—big or small—that helps you when things feel overwhelming? Whether it’s music, journaling, talking to someone, or just taking a deep breath, your response might help someone else too. You’re not alone here.
