...See more well, so I started this app in hopes of finding some relief in the anxiousness and panic attacks I have. I joined the army in 2003 and did a full year in Iraq. I saw some of the worst things anyone could imagine and went through several near death experiences. I got out in 2006 and became a police officer which is my dream job following in my father, grandfather, and uncles footsteps. Greatest job in the world, but I worked in a really crime ridden city and once again was experiencing horrible things. Ive held more people in my arms that died from gunshot wounds then I can remember to count. One night I was sitting at home on my couch watching tv and BAM! It hit my like a train. I became scared, started pacing, heart pounding through my chest. I felt like I was about to drop dead. I called an ambulance and when they checked me out said everything was fine. I calmed down and went to bed. Well, few days later BAM it hit me again and again and again. I was freaking out for no reason. I went to the doctor and all my blood work came back near perfect. She diagnosed me with PTSD, anxiety disorder, panic attack disorder, and agoraphobia. I even went to three therapists and two physiatrists who gave the same diagnoses. I was on a .5m.5 my Xanax for about 5 years and drinking very heavily til I would fall asleep. But the veterans affairs office stopped prescribing Xanax and switched me to buspirone 20mg twice a day and 100 mg of sertraline. Still suffering.
