...See more Hi, ive just joined, as Ive not really had the opportunity to speak to anyone that I feel could fully understand my situation. Hope this helps Ive not had the smoothest of relationships with my family, but definitely not the worst. My mum and dad split when I was 2, and its never been civil since. My mum has been in and out my life; shes also had an on and off again relationship with my step dad, and moved out whilst leaving us with him when I was 11 but then came back. She cheated on him when I was 18 and they split up for good and stayed in a relationship with the new man. Out of her 3 daughters, I was the only one who knew of him as the situation was obviously frowned upon. He brought weed into our house, cheated on her, his girls phone numbers under her bed, punched holes in our wall. She would forgive him every time. It got to a point when I told her that it cant go on like this and she needed to leave him for good. She got back together with him in secret and once I moved to uni that was that. I couldnt stand to be in the house with him knowing what he had done to her, which resulted in me getting pushed out. I was uninvited to Christmas and she introduced him to my sisters. Pictures of me in the house were replaced with pictures of him and I was removed, with no argument or explanation - it just happened.
