...See more Hi all. I'm a queer teen in a very anti-LGBTQ area of the Midwest. I'm out to some groups in my life as queer, and even less as NB/demiboy. I want to be out in general but don't usually know if I'm safe in most groups. Some of my friends are openly out as queer or queergender individuals and I have so much respect for them and wish I was but I fear for not only myself. Last summer my dad felt physically threatened because of my sexuality and I felt really guilty as I didn't even know how this man would have known. My parents and immediate family are very supportive and know about my sexuality (not my gender). Homophobia in my school greatly affected the last relationship I had and I'm sure will affect more in my future. I also don't know how reasonable what my parents say is but I don't blame them because I also do not know. They would generally like me to be out to as few people here as possible and act "straight" in unsafe groups which I usually do anyway but is that reasonable? That's a lot of thoughts down, let me know what you think and leave your thoughts/personal experiences. Thanks everyone
