Hi, my name is Jasper! I am a transgender, multiply disabled person who uses they/them pronouns. I am also queer and polyamorous.

I am an educator, activist, and public speaker in my local community. I am extremely passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and people with disabilities. I am also an advocate for harm reduction services, prison reform, inclusive education, and ending food insecurity. 

I am autistic, physically disabled (crutches and canes for the win!), and experience chronic pain and fatigue. I also have several mental health disorders including a dissociative disorder.

I am a survivor of intense trauma, childhood abuse and neglect, and domestic violence. I have also experienced discrimination and abuse due to my gender identity and sexual orientation. Despite my experiences, I have worked to become a very successful, well-balanced, and empathetic person. I will continue to break the cycle.

I am a well-respected community member who is known for supporting people, being a positive role model, and working to improve the lives of marginalized people. 

I especially love working with people with moderate to severe disabilities, behavioral concerns, and psychiatric diagnoses. Giving people the supports and accommodations they need to be successful in a living and learning environment is very gratifying. Increasing independence, highlighting communication, and allowing choice for people with disabilities is very important to me.

Some of my special interests include disability activism, Assistive and Augmentative Communication (AAC), ornithology (the study of birds), ceramics, carnival rides, and circus history.
