Hi, I’m Jelly.
Sometimes our thoughts and problems can feel like things inside an overfilled backpack. The more we put inside, the heavier and messier it becomes, until we may no longer know exactly what we are carrying.
I cannot unpack your backpack for you or decide what you should carry. I can lend you a quiet desk - a place where you can take things out, one at a time, and look at them at your own pace.
To me, listening is not waiting for my turn to speak. It is putting my own interpretation of the world aside long enough for your world to become visible.
You do not need to find the perfect words or know where to begin. I can listen quietly, ask thoughtful questions, share my perspective when you want it, or simply have a natural conversation with you.
I mainly offer support in English and Japanese. I also understand Portuguese and conversational Spanish, although my writing in those languages can be difficult to read. Please forgive occasional mistakes in my English grammar too. My words may not always be perfect, but I will make a sincere effort to understand what you mean.
I am still learning to become a better listener, and I welcome kind feedback about what helps you feel heard.
