The brain is weird and wonderful
Relationship Stress / by Jinx012014

...See more **Possible trigger warning*** I was sitting here getting ready for bed and ruminating on some past relationships and I felt that I had to write this down.  The brain has its own coping mechanisms. It doesn't let you think about the hard parts when you just need to survive an abusive relationship. And when you are finally able, it blocks out any of the good. So you can fight to escape Eventually it will let you remember what is necessary to allow you to get past and move on. And sometimes it will even let you forget. Sometimes forgetting is the best part of moving on.
