...See more It's Monday everyone & for some people, Happy Labor Day! ❤️ I really like this picture above and wanted to share it with everyone. I find it simple, inviting, peaceful, and relaxing....all equaling REST." Can you re-read this last sentence?! Now imagine if YOUR life could somehow have those elements. What would rest look like for you? Would it be laying down burdens? Admititng pain? Or taking a step forward to start a change? I am stuck with the fact that rest actually seems to require action from us. Werid! But true. In order to find rest, we either have to do something, or not do something. For me, I give my burdens to Jesus. I come to the Bible to find rest ... and then that encourages me to take action. The more I'm able to engage in therapy with my counselor, the more I find rest inside of me. ❤️ This place is YOURS to share whatever you want! What ways do you find rest? What could rest look like for you? Thinking of you all today!!! Safe Hugs!

...See more When I first saw this picture I felt a lot of different feelings - sad, mad. scared, happy, curious...it was a lot of feelings!!! Then I noticed that my feelings were changing as I looked at different parts of the picture - different parts of the tree. But the thing that I found most interesting was that I didn't notice the "whole picture" until I took a step back. This made me think that maybe this is how it is with our healing and our trama. Sometimes we get so stuck (or caught) in one part, we don't see the whole picture. We fail to see the "seasons changing." When you look at this picture what do you feel and see? Can you imagine that your life is like this tree? Can you get yourself to see the whole picture and maybe even see the beauty that has come from ashes? This is your SAFE place! Share a little, a lot, or just say Hi. Your thoughts and your voice are cherished & you are LOVED! ❤️

...See more Hi everyone. You all really walked through hard things with me. Kept encouraging me to go and try. And then I couldn't do it .You encouraged me to go and try again. I still couldn't handle anything. I just cried. Well, I almost gave up! But then I had the special surgery. Where I was alseep the whole time while my doctor did everything all at one time! It was hard but also SO much better!!! Well, my doctor just called me with the sugery results. And the cells they found are abnormal! She said it was SO good that I saw here and had the surgery. These abnormal cells will turn into cancer. I feel scared, but also thankful. Because my doctor said we can stop the cells. But if I had waited and let my fears stop me, one day I would have woken up real sick and they would have discovered full cancer. Please please please take the scary hard steps I did. It really could save your life!!!! It did mine!!!!

...See more Good Morning, Family!! I hope you have had a nice weekend. ❤️ Please let us know how you are doing, or just say 'Hi'. Whatever YOU need to do today to feel supported, cared about, and loved! I saw this qoute and it made me think. How often have I wanted other people to change me! I don't think it was on purpose that I thought this. But one night a few years ago, it was a real bad night, I somehow realized only I can truly change me. Only I could do the work, admit the pain, fall on my knees in prayer, seek out help. And this is what started my healing journey. So, what idea, or spark, or realization start your healing journey? Share as much or as little as you want. ❤️❤️

...See more 😃 Hey!!! It's MONDAY!!!! (Or almost) 😃 Please remember this is your SAFE place to share - so WE can show some CARE ❤️❤️ Don't what to do anything but say HI, that's okay to!!! ❤️ Today's topic - Our Counselor's / Therapist. What do you think their main goal is? More importantly, what is our main goal in seeing them? When I first started working with my counselor, I had NO clue why I was there. I was terrified! I literally didn't talk for I think 4 months? And it took almost a year to even look at him. I still find that hard. So, if healing is important and it is possible, which it is, what makes thearpy work FOR YOU!!! What helps with your growing and ability to talk sometimes. What is the hardest part about being able to say things - even if you like your counselor/ therapist. Is it shame? Fear? Please feel free to share anything you'd like to. And here is a SAFE hug 🤗 ❤️❤️ 💜To add or remove your name to our new Trauma Sub Community General tag list to be notified of new threads in the Trauma Sub Community please click here [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1pzC6N19QCxy4LRMJqXKd5L6pyF_pKRY8cfXaZYXb6Nk/edit] @123kylie @agreeableKite4304 @Amandisa16 @amarifey @Amazinglyfreshrainfall@AnnaKateMillerLCSW @AnyaS@ArianaMay @asheroo92 @BeeLeigh @BikerJo @blackPond48 @blancdeb @Brianalight @Bunniesdontreallyeatcarrots @calimero@CaringBrit @Casey6184 @CaseyBeau @Chewykins @Cindyisnotokay @Cindyissad @Coly @Compassionatelistener108 @Comradekiwi @courteousNorth5140 @cranberrypineapples @crimsonLime6525 @crimsontalker6672 @cynthia @DarkSkyes @DeborahUK @DesertShip @discreetBlackberry3373 @Emily619 @energeticApricot2459 @Fantasticpeace71 @gam3ov3r @GlisteningRose @Godborned @greenNectarine3734 @GuardianAngel77 @Halogen @hopetoday @Hoxenos @HtheGreat @Hugs28 @ianreyes @Icandoit1212 @Ili @Independenttangerine @indistinct-aurora@intelligantsquare3915 @intuitivecity8345 @inventiveHouse2965 @Isha @Jacochen @Jess245 @Jesse20013 @justducky0416 @JustLikeMellie @Kenzy224 @khan @LifeIsMyCanvas @LimeGreenNecterine22 @limegreenWalker3385 @Lolowise475 @Loralo12 @LyingAwake @Madiroot17 @MandaGPanda @MeAsTwo @melliotm @Moonberrycat @MRaven @Myosotis17 @NancySV1 @natesse316 @Natty_5446 @nolongerafraid @NWgardener @Orangebanana2017 @Passionatebeyez @PenguinsCrossing @petalsword @philosophicalplum561 @PhilosophicalShip9444 @PiankeMmar @Practicalldeal2007 @Q2Ann @RaCat @Rain45 @Raveninthelabrynth @Regmo7 @resourcefulPond1641 @RoseCS2018 @Rozie @RumpleSteeleSkin @Saif1for1Resilience @Saltydog68 @scarletWheel8308 @Selfdisciplinedlychee @sensibledime5187 @SentientCozyTeacup @SkyDiver22 @skyebluez @Skylark1 @SmileYoureWorthIt @SoftForestHSP77 @Softwhispers@sorahyd@Spotthedot @StarryNight76@StephanieGypsy77@strega@sugar@SunFern@sunnyJackfruit1761 @sweetLily41@sycamoregiel18@TheHoneyDoll@tidyMelon2008@Torremp@WaterLily16@wildOnee@windflowers @wontwakewontsleep@yellowPenny9327@YourFriendForever@zahid

...See more Happy Monday everyone!!! Another new week is here!!! Hmmm ... Is this good? Is this bad? 🤔Let us know! This is a SAFE & welcoming environment for everyone. Feel free to engage in our discussion or just say HI. Whatever you want or need - this is your space. ❤️ Today I want to bring up a very interesting thing - Triggers in entertainment.🙄 For myself, I am very easily trigger and drawn downward by watching certain TV shows & movies. A major "trigger" for me is the Hallmark Channel.🙁 One of the ways I've chosen to address this is by being aware of what effects me. And also, I no longer have cable. I watch Dvd's. So for me I had to take drastic messages. Now I watch cable only when I babysit or dog sit. I control what I take in thru my eyes! So what about you all? What's your measurements and stragedy for all things entertainment? ❤️

...See more Hello Everyone!! If you live in America - Congratulations we made it trhough July 4th & all the nosie tnat brings! How is everyone feeling? How has your rollercoaster ride of emotions been this week? This place is a SAFE place! Yours to share anything or just say HI😃 What I think would be good for us to think about today is: Sleep. I was thinking about how important it is. And how hard it can be to get sometimes. I remember one of the first things my counselor did with me was talk about sleep. I struggle with being able to sleep. For me, it was figuring out soothing techniques. What about you all? How do you handle sleep 😴?
