...See more Hello there. I'm doing this while my guard is relatively down, as I'm in the come-down from a panic attack right now and came to 7 cups for comfort, mindfulness breathing and reassurance. I figure I should just put my story out there and get rid of the energy that's looming over me right now. Not to get into it too deeply but I was in the military and had an accident where I fell approximately 20ft. I had a concussion, dislocations, broken bones and went into shock at the hospital. I stayed there for nearly a week and received some titanium pieces to put my arm back together. I like to think of it as robocop. The entire situation changed me for life. I have PTSD from the playout of the accident, from everything leading up to it, the event and the aftermath. I struggle with depression and anxiety, and recently both have been getting worse after a 2 year lull. The accident was five and a half years ago, at this point. I'm trying to deal with it but I feel a lot of shame and confusion, though I'm always seeking different ways to deal with my situation. Chronic pain doesn't help with anything and now, from hitting my head, it appears that some wiring has resulted in some loss of hearing which is frustrating. painful and isolating. Just one more thing to have to deal with, I guess, but I know I can deal with it. In moving forward with my life, I'm in my last year, last term of college right now and the pressure there has been affecting me as well and causing a lot of lurking feelings to come up. I've already made an appointment with my psychiatrist as of tonight once I got through the attack to talk about med adjustments - it's helped before, and right now I think that it needs to be reassessed. That's about it for now, I guess. Hope everyone is as well as they can be at this time.
