...See more I've been doing much better. The negativity had been down. The mental self abuse has been virtually nonexistent. I've been less depressed/angry/spaced out. Then I tripped. I let in one negative comment and then there was a million of them all bring for my attention. My husband wanted to help, which is great. However anytime I tried to answer his questions and let him into my head he would knee jerk respond to try to reassure me that I'm loved, wanted and appreciated. Which made things worse. Logically I know all that but depression isn't logical. His interruptions and responses felt like invalidation. Like what I was thinking and feeling was wrong. Again, logically I know better. But because he continued to do so I ended up having a mini breakdown. I asked him why he continued to ask questions if he wasn't going to let me respond. I told him how he was making me feel. I depressed him. He honestly thought that was the best way to help me because it has seemed to work in the past. I think he's starting to realize how much I internalize. It could've been a horrendous night. However, we talked. We both actually listened to what the other was saying and I think we might be in a better place. We turned an awful situation into just a bad one and we're not allowing it to affect our morning or the rest of our day. I hope you all have a great day and a better night.
