Hey there! My name is Reina (she/her).

I am a trained listener here at 7 Cups, and I would love to listen to you today and try and help you as best I can. I am trained in Sacred Listening and Good Counsel through my spiritual tradition, and have professionally worked in peer support services for about a decade. When I have the energy, time, and desire, I come here in the spirit of service to the community and for maintaining my skillset.

• I live in the UK, and have lived here for my whole life.

My lived experience

I have worked in peer support and lived experience roles for a long time. I have significant lived experience of inpatient mental health services, of autism, complex trauma, suicide bereavement, physical disability/chronic illness, and I am care-experienced (this means experience of adoption/foster care). I am also a queer woman. As a human being, I bring my own perspectives and feelings to the table, and I'm sharing this so that you know you are bringing these topics to someone who truly gets it. 💜

Issues I am not comfortable supporting with

I don't make a habit of discussing men's issues, sexual health issues, or topics around eating disorders. If these come up for you naturally I won't necessarily end the conversation as a blanket rule, but it may be better for you to find someone better able to support you. If you share very graphic details of traumatic experiences I may also need to step away to protect my own psychological welfare.

If you are feeling suicidal or at risk of harming yourself, I please ask you to seek out the relevant crisis and/or emergency services. I want to make sure you are safe and I cannot do this properly from a remote and anonymous platform. If I am concerned for your safety, with kindness, I will need to refer you on to contact those services and close the chat. 💗
