Dad pulled me by my arm. Struggling with the trauma.

...See more Last year, my dad forcefully grabbed my arm and pulled me from the living room to my room after I refused his hug. He was shouting at me, insisting that I pack my bags because he wanted to take me back to my home country. Despite my attempts to assert my boundaries and explain why I didn't want the hug, he wouldn't listen. Instead, he blamed me, accusing me of being rude and even claiming that I hit him, which I know I didn't. Throughout the confrontation, my mom stood silently in the doorframe, not saying much. After everything settled down, she hugged me and said she was proud of me for speaking up, but her support seemed to fade over time. When I tried to talk to my mom about how I was feeling, she brushed it off, telling me to get over it and stop making it such a big deal. This response left me feeling even more hurt and invalidated. It's especially difficult because my younger brother doesn't offer much support either, leaving me feeling isolated in dealing with my emotions. In the aftermath of the incident, I've been struggling with both physical and emotional distress. There have been times when I've scratched my legs until they bled as a way to cope with the mental pain, and I've also experienced panic attacks where I couldn't breathe. Despite reaching out to my mom for help during these moments, she continues to minimize the situation, telling me to just get over it. Im struggling to navigate everything and heal from the trauma of the incident especially without the support I need from my family. I dont know what to do and how to deal with this. I know it has been a long time since then but i cant seem to get over this. Especially when only i seem to be taking it so seriously:(
