So many ways to be happy

...See more Hey guys,    I am back. It has been a very long time since I have written a post. There is many reasons to why I have taken so long to come back here and help you awesome people is because I have struggled with a lot of my own personal things. But I am back.  To kick off my blog writing again I am going to be talking about so ways to become happy to keep yourself feeling happy.  Around this time of year so many people always find it hard to focus on the happy things in there life. They can sometimes feel depressed and only focus on that. It can be really hard to even think about focusing on positive things.. Nothing feels easy.  This happens for some time and can be difficult to shake off.  But this is where our positive things need to grow some big strong arms and fly higher than ever.  Things you can do to make you feel happier. 1) have a happy playlist on your music  2) watch your favourite film 3) Burn your favourite candle  4) hang around with your friends/family  5) read a good book 6) treat yourself  7) eat your favourite meal  8) do something creative    There is more ways to become happier  like being optomistic. by surrounding yourself with good things and good people. Helping people out. even if it's just buying a homeless person a coffee or a warm meal  that can make you feel happy..or suprizing someone with a gift.    Recently I went and watched a film in the cinema called ' The theory of everything' It was such an eye opening film for me. It taught me that life can get touch and that things can seem like they will never get better but the thing is, things do get better, I souly recommend this film to everyone.    Remember everyone there are people around to talk to ALWAYS around your NOT ALONE
Trapped

...See more Hey guys :)   And welcome to my second blog :) My aim to to try and write one blog a week on here.  so feel free to send me a message or comment blow anything you'd like me to write about/share my opinion about.    Today I wanted to talk about depression and how people always seem to feel trapped by it.  -puts my hand up- I am one of then many people that feels trapped by my depression. Sometimes I do feel like I am trapped in a worle wind and can't get out of it. It's like a ring of fire has formed and you can't access the fire hose without stepping out of the fire and risk getting burnt or injuryed by that circle of fire.  Depression is a thing many people in the society have now..When I first got diagnosed with depression. I questioned it and I told the doctor to re test me..I told him that they cant diagnose everyone in this world with depression..  I was pretty much in denial about it and was going pretty crazy...  But facing the facts..Depression is a massive thing in many lifes. and it can take part in small doses or massive dosages Some people feel really lead by there depression. And it's also seems impossible to lead a life without it..  It's like a 2nd/3rd parent maybe?   Did you know that over the last tens years figures have increased my 68% 1 in 10 children and young people aged 5 - 16 suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder - that is around three children in every class- You could even be sat next to someone in a lesson or walking past someone with depression    depression is all around us..  depression has formed a prison around us and we can't escape    BUT together WE WILL beat depression  We WILL win this battle    and we WONT go down without a fight :)     Leann
Disabiltiy... What is disabilties?

...See more Hey, and welcome to what is my first blog post :).    One thing I would like to talk about today is that word 'disability'.  What is it? Why do people judge as soon as they see you have a disability or hear about it? it makes me wonder why people think people with disabilities are aliens..when were not..where all the same..    if you google the word defination for 'disabilities' its comes up with 'a physical or mental condition that limits a person's movements, senses, or activities' So why are we treated like aliens..  Well from the research I have donw into this for my work it shows that some poeple feel scared about knowing someone with a disabilty.  At my college I did a survery and asked people to fill it in and place it in a box i provided. About 70 people filled it in. I did every box out of 100% to make the statistics easier for me to handle.    But the questions I put on the survery where pretty straight forward and I asked them things like 'how many people in your friendship group has a disabilty'  how would it make you feel if you had something that could be life changing   if you were to be disabled for one day...how would you cope and what would you do..  and I also said from the above question..if you were to meet 1 person right now that had a clear disabilty how would you treat them.. and would you treat them the same or differently to your friends..    90% of the surverys read that people would treat someone different if they had a disabilty to what they would if it was someone who didnt have a disabilty.  It kinda touched my heart that only 10% of these students would treat us the same as a person without a disabitly..  it made me sad to think that we can't be accepted for the person we are.. with or without a diability..    My message to people is that... you are you.. A disabilty doesn't make you as a person your personality your dress code  your hair  your favourte food that is what makes you, you  and never stop believing that..    Leann
