...See more My name is Lexi. I have a disease called dyshidrotic eczema. It started a year ago. It causes dozens extremely painful blisters to form on my hands every few days and regular eczema on my arms. The pain is nonstop. Doctors don't know what causes it or how to fix it. And they don't seem to give a crap either way. I have to work 2 jobs to pay the bills for my family. I teach the kids that struggle afterschool during the school year and summer school in the summer. They are curious about my condition and always trying to help and i appreciate that. At night I'm a waitress and people are the exact opposite. I can see the disgusted looks people give once they've seen my hands and are grossed out because i touch their plates. People are constantly constantly constantly asking me " ew what's wrong with your hands" and make me hold them out to show them like a circus freak. I have a boyfriend but he's sick of my complaining and crying. I have a 6 year old and I can't play with him like normal or hold his hand. He understands why and tries to help me also. I'm on here because it's 4 am and I have no one to talk to. I woke my boyfriend up soaking my hands in the sink because the pain woke me up. And he starts yelling at me that I could've been quieter and I always wake him up and he's sick etc etc. when I was just borderline panic attack because I woke up with my hands so much worse when all I wanted was to wake up with them a little better. I don't have someone to talk to
