I am 29 years old, female, single mom but also
I am a survivor of a lifetime of violence—from childhood sexual abuse at age two, to adoption and neglect at five, to domestic abuse and rape as an adult. I have battled addiction, Bipolar II, and CPTSD. And now, I am the sole survivor of a fatal accident that took the life of my sister, my cousin, and my best friend. she was My world! My life has been defined by loss, but it is also defined by a soul that cannot be broken, even when it is shattered.
My past was a series of people failing me, but my future is defined by the fact that I will no longer fail myself. I am healing the toddler, the child, and the woman, all at once.
