Why I have intrusive thoughts/visuals

...See more I think I figured out why I have intrusive thoughts and visuals As a child, you find yourself having to deal with a complicated situation, and as a child, you're still too immature to comprehend certain things and your brain has a hard time processing certain information. So you automatically put the thoughts in your subconscious and go on with your life. Later on as you mature into an adult, your brain is still trying to process those thoughts you blocked, and as a way of gaining understanding, your brain creates intrusive thoughts/visuals.

Hi everyone, about my OCD

...See more Hi, I'm Mango and wanted to share on how it's like to deal with OCD for me. It's like my mind constantly calculates the level of dirtyness of something everytime i want to touch anything. And this leads me to having weird behaviors like repeatedly washing my hands , picking things up with my pinky to ensure minimal germs contact and excessive cleaning of things. I also worry about the food that I eat, cause my mind goes through all the possible ways it could have been contaminated. Sometimes I have trouble breathing especially at night when I have to keep the windows closed and share the bed with someone. My mind goes all through the ways that the air could have been contaminated. And I worry about the hygiene of the person I'm sharing the room with. I usually almost go insane every night I have to share a room with someone, which is quite often. And I was just hoping to find others who relate with my struggles.
