30 DAY MILESTONE!

...See more Today I hit my 30 day sober milestone. I haven't had a drink or consummed cannbis in 30 days and it has been a noticeable difference. I have no intention of starting again anytime soon, but I did say I would just keep things to one day at a time, (but with a minimum 30 day detox) When I decided to try and live a more sober lifestyle it was because I felt like things were getting out of hand. While not a heavy drinker, I was drinking every day(1-3 beers) and consuming cannabis throughout the course of the day. People used to try and tell me weed isn't addictive in the way some other things are, but if I went a day without smoking, it was a problem...and one I needed to address. I know that we're all grappling with something...and I'm learning that everyday is full of moments that might cause us to want to use, but ultimately the healing has to come from a deep place within. Along with being sober I am also seeking therapy and trying to change up my lifestyle. I'm doing this first for myself and secondly for those I love and who love me. I hope that 2018 proves to be a healthier one for us all and that we remember to take one day at a time. We're not perfect and never will be, but we are who are and we can always be a better version of ourselves. :-)
