...See more Since coming to university, I’ve made a friend group with 3 other people, let’s call them cup, chair, and mug. Around january, there was a bit of a misunderstanding between Cup, Chair, and i, and we didn’t have contact for the next 1-2 months. Since they were some of my closest friends, i had a meltdown and depressive/suicidal behaviors were magnified, and it all fell on Mug. He tried to be there for me for a long time but eventually burned out because it was too much for him to handle. He took 1-2 weeks from me, and as the misunderstandings cleared up between me and the other two, the group as a whole hung out a few more times before school let out and i hung out 1-1 with him as well. My friendship with Cup and Chair has gone back to how it used to be, but my friendship with Mug seems a bit strained as the school year is over now and he doesn’t really initiate texts, just replies to whatever i send. He seems more eager to talk to Cup and Chair. I went to him recently about his thoughts on the friendship and he said it did get a little strained from those months but i shouldn’t blame myself over it. I don’t know though, it’s kinda hard not to when it is my own doing. Will this just take time for the friendship to go back to normal? Mug said he hoped it would, but I don’t even know at this point. Have i done too much damage?
