Hey! My name is Maryyum and I'm glad you've found me on 7 Cups of Tea. I'm a trained active listener and I like to support people struggling with depression. I became a listener because during my hard times I had no one to talk to and I don't want anyone to go through the same thing. I've overcome a lot in life and would like to help by listening to you. Maryyum was amazing at showing me things I already actually knew but didn't want to admit. She also really helped me see pros and cons of different options available to me. It was like speaking to a really level-headed, trustworthy, compassionate friend, who also had the benefit of not being emotionally involved in the issues herself.
