Starting Over with Chronic/Perminant Disability

...See more I have several chronic illnesses that are getting worse as I age. I just started my dream career but had to go on sick leave twice in the last 3 years for 5 months and currently on a leave that's been gone for 4 months. If I am able to come back I will only be able to do so part time at most if I'm lucky. Anyway, I'm feeling like I have to start over and find value in my life in another way and I don't even know where to start. My chronic illness makes me so flakey that even volunteering is nearly impossible. What have you done to regain value after your disability changed what you could and couldn't do?
