First of all, whether you are new to this page or returning, I want to take the time to welcome you here. When I came here the first time, I thought some of the things were a little strange, like Noni for example. I too like you have come here seeking support from kind individuals. The individuals I spoke with were very caring and understanding. It's their understanding that gave me the idea of becoming a listener myself. And also the desire to one day be a therapist. I love helping people. It gives me a sense of purpose, as if I have some meaning here. I struggle with depression and anxiety as well as several other issues, most medical related. Being a listener here is very rewarding as it makes me feel wanted. There is always a sense of accomplishment when finished with a chat, even if it is a little change in someones day. And it does help me in my hard times... If interested, we'd love to one day see you as part of our team of listeners...

Maybe to start with, I give you a little of my story, something that happened to me that inspires me to this day... And since I chose the screen name of MiracleChild, perhaps I can share why that is so significant to me.

When I was a little girl, about 11 yrs old I went to celebrate my friends birthday. She owned horses so we celebrated her special day by riding on her horses. Well, I had experience riding a pony but as some of you who have experience with both know, riding a pony is not like riding a horse. Well I got on the horse and everything started out okay, but then all of a sudden I got frightened and the horse felt my fear. Next thing I know is that horse threw me off and rolled over me...

Okay, ready for the miracle? Well, I'm still here... Survived the weight of the horse on me... Made it with no injuries as far as I can recall... I was told later that it's a miracle that I survived... And that it was very unusual for that to happen... But it did happen to me... Some of you may know this saying already... What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger... That was proven to me when I survived this accident... Since then, I love horses even more... I use horses as my life's symbol of just how strong I am as a person... And I want to say, whatever obstacle life throws your way, is just another thing that makes up the wonderful person that you are... So don't be ashamed of your story, cause chances are that story will inspire others...
