These two activities are not restricted to researchers and students only. Rather they have become important for professionals working in executive and managerial positions. We have to prepare presentations, project proposals and official document to present ideas for further discussion and implementations. This becomes a critical need if you are associated with research institute or publication house. If you are a professional writer or a student in the field of sociology, you can use ASA citation style to credit sources. You can accredit words, ideas, and theories in a systematic manner. ASA is a parenthetical referencing style, which consists of author-date documentation system. As it doesnt possess foot's notes, it motivates sociologists to use it to cite sources. It consists of two components. In-text citations and reference list. To mention sources in the content author surname and year of publication is added in the brackets near the source. Moreover, reference section at the end of the paper list down all the sources in the alphabetical order mentioned in the content. It present detail information about the publication. Either do it manually or use a citation tool. If you have enough time to do it manually you may proceed. But we all know we often have a shortage of time.
