Anxiety or Tuition?

...See more Hi all! I'm struggling to understand if my feelings are being caused by intuition/gut instincts or my anxiety in overdrive. We hear all the time that we should trust our instincts, listen to our gut, but how do I trust that my gut is trying to make me aware of something and it's not just me overthinking? My biggest issue in this area is currently in my relationship, my gut keeps telling me that he is cheating, has cheated or is on the path to cheat. I read the "Signs He's Cheating" or "How Do You Know It's Over" articles and I answer yes to so many of the "signs". (Ie: he doesn't seem interested in what you are talking about, he reacts with offense or anger to my requests to talk about my concerns, he gets mad when I'm heightened and insecure, instead of holding me and assuring me.) I've read the articles "Anxiety or Intuition?", they say tuition is a feeling, a knowing, a physical sensation,... But, as someone who has had severe anxiety disorder forever, and PTSD due to childhood trauma, I have an extremely hard time knowing if I can trust my gut.
