...See more Hello dear people! I would like to ask some advice in regards of getting over an ex girlfriend. One of the things which I have been advised is to try to avoid all possible contact with her. And not to go to places which remind me of her. For some time. In order to heal myself. Our relationship is finished. She is engaged to new man now. And I try to be happy for that. I wish her all success and happiness in her life. But let us be honest. Still I feel pain inside. I, as a leader in a community, due to my duties, have to deal with my ex girlfriend now. I can not take a vacation. I need to go to one place, where we will have an important community meeting, and she will take part of it. Intellectually I now that all is over in between us, but internally, emotionally it really hurts me to see her and now for 5 consecutive days I need to see her and see her friends and deal with them. Of course I as a leader can deal with them nicely, but what can you advise how I deal with my inside part. We do not hate each other or something, but still the emotions and memories which really take my focus away come and I see that now this 5 day event will be a challenge. But maybe it will be exactly what I need to make a step further in focusing on myself and my duties and helping others, which will make me stronger. As a precaution I need some help as to how to do my duties and not be carried away of the emotions which still arise. Especially when dealing with her. Any ideas? Wishing all of you happiness!
