Hello, and welcome :) I have experience and can help with issues around grief, bereavement by suicide, mental illness (bipolar), depression and addictions. You've brought yourself to this site, and that's a fantastic thing to do for yourself. Whatever you are struggling with, you haven't given up, and you will get through to the other side.

I lost my father and my brother to suicide in 2001. I am Bipolar myself, and sucessfully gave up drinking many years ago while I was still young. My brother was a herion addict. So, I have a lot of life experiences and I am very understanding, especially with issues of grief.

I'm a big reader, writer, sometime artist and musician, but, I have to admit not being big on sports - unless of course you mean darts. I'll throw some arrows, and sometimes, they'll even hit the dartboard!

If you think I can help you, just ask me for a chat, and hopefully we'll end up online together at some point.

Last bits of advice I can offer?

1. Congratulate yourself for everything as if you were three years old. And mean it. Nothing is little, especially if you're suffering.
2. There's a quote somewhere that goes: "Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again." I say that's good, but include yourself. Compassion and kindness for yourself is never wasted, and it will make you feel better.
