Do I try and become friends again with my ex?

...See more So me and my ex girlfriend broke up 2 months ago and I can't seem to get over her. We were together for about 7 months (not too long) but she is the first girl I fell in love with and have known each other for a few years. We broke up on decent terms as it turned long distance and neither of us was happy anymore. After the break up we stopped talking as 2 weeks later she got another boyfriend from work and ended up blocking me. Needless to say they lasted about a week before they broke up. At this point I still missed her like crazy. Less than a week after that she started speaking to one of her abusive ex's who always would make her jealous while they were together. They lasted about a month of speaking too each other which leads to now. I still care about her deeply and she recently added me back on facebook however still has me blocked on most social media. After asking her why she added me, she told me she didn't know she blocked me on messenger then left me blocked. I left it at that as it was obvious she didn't want to talk. I only want to be friends with this girl as I still care about her wellbeing and we got on really well before. Part of me wants to just move on and forget about her however the other part of me still wants her in my life as a friend. Any advice on what I should do?
