I really believe in what 7 Cups of Tea stands for and it's values and a lot of this is based on the theory of Unconditional Positive Regard by Carl Rogers. This quote sums up what being a listener is about for me.
"It is a profound relief to drop our pretences, confess our worst feelings, and discover that we are still accepted. In a good marriage, a close family, or an intimate friendship, we are free to be spontaneous without fearing the loss of others' esteem."
Anyway, I'm really happy that you've found me on 7 Cups of Tea. I'm a trained active listener and currently doing an internship here (no course, just voluntary) and I like to support people struggling with various issues including LGBT, anxiety, loneliness and self-harm. I enjoy computer/console gaming, crochet and other crafts, pixel art, and geek culture. I enjoy talking to a variety of people from a variety of backgrounds as I feel that there are always opportunities to learn from others. I also love animals and have two dogs (one of which is pictured) which I enjoy spending time with and training. I have overcome a my fair share of stuff in life and I would like to help by listening to you. If I'm online, then please feel free to start a chat. If I'm offline, then send me a message and we can set up a time to connect. Glad you are here and look forward to talking and learning from you!
