...See more Hello,  I’m a  bisexual woman and for a long time I’ve felt the need to hide this part of myself due to extreme  Past experiences, being overlooked, disrespected by family, and mistreated by people who are against my sexuality has made me afraid to be open. I know my feelings aren’t a phase, and they aren’t straight girl curiosity. I genuinely love women, and the idea of having a woman as a long term partner is something I truly want and would be fully satisfied with. I’m not here to say team lesbian or team bisexual, and I’m not turning this into a conversation about hating men. What concerns me is how often I now see women posting about WLW because a man hurt them and suddenly they want to try women. I worry that opening up about my sexuality might make people assume I’m just following a trend or that I am  running from something. If I end up with a woman, I want her to feel valued, not like she is a phase or a rebound. I’m a femme woman, and while that’s not an issue, sometimes I worry about how I will be perceived. I want to show genuine interest without overwhelming someone or invading their space but still love them out loud and unconditionally. I’ve spent so many years in unhealthy dating cycles, being gaslit, lied to, and led on, and also forced into relationships that I felt were not aligned with me that it left me afraid to open up again, especially with women. So my question is: what are some tips for approaching women respectfully and slowly that are not thought of when it comes to dating one  without coming off as someone who only wants a fling. Even as I will do my best all ways to make my future partner feel valued, What can I do to show that my intentions are genuine and that I truly want to build something meaningful and not have them feel that have to run away from me.  And if you have experience dating women yourself, what is something you wish you knew sooner as a woman.  Although I know that somethings are common sense, I don't want to make any mistakes that would cause my partner to feel heartbroken in the future. I appreciate any advice you may give at this time.
