Ghosted & Life Long Injury

...See more I was ghosted last year by a close friend I met on 7Cups. That alone, is sad. In june this year, I suffered a life-long injury out on a rescue. Funny really, I do it voluntarily outside of my work. Marine mammals are very dangerous and unpredictable, and despite the many dangerous rescues I have personally led or participated on, I then get injured no where near a mammal, on a rescue. I'm in a wheelchair and it's killing me. I am struggling incredibly hard because I am used to being active. I have horses, I have work, I have a life. This, really sucks.

...See more I really need a kick up the backside. I'm a student and need to get a move on, but I end up afraid of the future, afraid I can't be what I want to be and end up backing away from it. It's too easy to sit back and procrastinate. I feel like I really suck. It doesn't help that I'd love to have friends to chat to. About studies or life in general. My old best friend does her best to tell me all about how much of a great life she has with all her chums, and I'm stuck being introverted and work all day on my own as well. I'd just like someone to care about me in the same way I'd like to care about others. Just never seem to find anyone willing to actually be a friend.

...See more As daft to some as it may sound, I had had pretty bad news about one of the horses. You see, he has always been my reason for living. We have been through a lot together, he'd been through a rough start in life. For the last 12 years, he has been my reason for waking up and getting up. So when someone causes him to become ill through their own ignorance, it devastates me. He wasn't getting better, so I needed someone to just hear me cry and be upset about this devastating news. I Googled, and found a lot of places you need to pay for or have to book appointments to speak to someone which was all very closed off and unappealing. I needed someone to hear me, now. The first person I spoke to wasn't overly helpful and seemed to take my situation lightly, however the next person was fantastic. Though not in to horses, they were sympathetic and heard me. It made a huge difference.
