Bio
I come from a childhood background of feeling very different from those around me. My needs as a gifted child sort of swirled together with my needs as a child with physical disabilities and neither issue was addressed properly. As I grew older, perfectionism and competitiveness won out over real self-care or sharing my true feelings and thoughts with others. Until it became unsustainable.
The experiences of my adulthood led me to a life of empathy, understanding, and filtering out the unhelpful information we put out into the world to get to the root of situations and affect real, positive change in myself and others. My friends and acquaintances tell me that they appreciate my non-judgmental support and advice, my listening skills, and my frankness.
