Bio

I have struggled with mental health my entire life. Being a survivor of childhood neglect, there is a lot of emotional healing and trauma I need to work through. I think it is an ongoing battle and even if I heal I know that it will remain with me in some capacity until the end of my life. I have done a significant amount of self-work, sought professional help, tried alternative therapies, and have had great success, but even with that being said I still have a need for talk therapy. It is easier for me to write things out than talk things out. I am a very cerebral person and I feel that face-to-face more or less detracts from my healing journey as there are a lot of distractions when it comes to sitting a room with someone else...even when you're not talking or interacting. There is energy being transferred or used up, and that is enough to deter me from seeking that common form of therapy.

I like to go for nature walks, spend time daydreaming, writing, reading, listening to music, meditating and praying, doing yoga, admiring beauty, helping others, working in a library, and trying to be a better person. My favorite book is the Last Unicorn and my favorite movie(s) is the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have an interest in whimsy and fantasy, so I usually gravitate towards these things.

I would simply like to find peace and balance again. I believe we move through seasons in our lives and presently I just need to feel more like myself again.
